Here I would like to address "the nature of Man" and "the nature of God". Recently, upon reviewing some of C. S. Lewis' "Mere Chrisitianity", I realised anew that my view of this subject is significantly different from most Christian traditions. In fact, Lewis attempted to write in "Mere Christianity", as he said, only those views which were common to all Christian denominations. Yet mine differs significantly even from that. Yet, mine is based upon the Bible. I think that a humble and careful reader of this article should see that my view is a Christian view as well.
As a side note, let me say here that I think Lewis' writing is very very clear and easy to understand. In contrast, I am not succeeding in writing clearly and concisely. Yet, I think the substance of what I am saying is understandable for some readers who will ask the Lord to help and will take the time to study and sort out what is being said.
As I have said elsewhere in this blog, man consists of three parts: spirit, soul and body. In my view, this is true of non-Christian man as well as Christian Man. The spirit in each man is a single child of God. The body of man is a creature of God. The soul in man is a product of the interaction of spirit and the body. Salvation in Jesus Christ is manifold. It guarantees preservation of the soul body as a garment for the spirit, the resurrection of the body, the forgiveness of sins against the Lord, and deliverance from the Enemy.
The nature of God is a mature spirit Who is capable of incarnating in a body. Yet the nature of man is to be an immature spirit incarnated in a body. When the Son of God left the side of the Father in glory and became incarnate as a human in the womb of a virgin Mary, he was taking on a body. Yet, it is not, to me a "mystery" of two natures, human and divine. It is simply the incarnation of the great great Spirit incarnating in a body.

The Composition of Man: Spirit, Soul and Body
Although we have already posted on this subject, here following is my edited version of Markel Moen's writing on this subject (from his book, "Heaven and Hell"):
To understand "hell" and the teachings o fJesus concerning it, we must first understand the composition of man. So long as we do not understand such words as "soul" and "spirit", it is utterly impossible for us to understand the Truths as revealed by God, nor yet to grasp - even in a measure - the grand purpose of "hell."
It is the common error within Christendom to think of Soul and Spirit as synonymous terms. In this one terrific error rests man's failure to understand "hell" and God's eonian plan for man. [Editor's note: "eon" is the Greek word which means a time of unknown duration which has been mistranslated by proponents of "eternal torment" as "eternal."]
The Spirit-tutored apostle Paul wrote: "And I pray God your whole SPIRIT and SOUL and body be preserved blameless ----." - 1 Thes 4:23. Here we behold a THREEfold man: (1) body, (2) soul and (3) spirit. The same Truth is taught back through the Hebrew Scriptures of the Old Testament.
Even in the account of Adam's creation, we find the BODY formed from the elements of EARTH, into the nostrils of which God BREATHED or EXPIRED (from within Himself) the breath of liveS and man became (or "generated") "a living SOUL." (Genesis 2:7). Who has ever heard, or read of God being a "soul", or yet a wind-bag? Repeatedly does Scripture speak of God as being SPIRIT, or A SPIRIT. Hence is He termed the "Father of spirits" (Heb. 12:9).This the apostle based on Zech. 12:1 which declares that God "formed the SPIRIT of man within him."
Since we have His own revealed word that God is A SPIRIT, not a soul nor yet a wind-bag, then He had nothing but pure undefiled SPIRIT to exude into the head of Adam as the breath or distilation of LIFE, which in turn animated the body and generated therein "a living SOUL."
Clearly has He told us that all beget their won kind. God was no exception. Since He is SPIRIT, and SPIRIT is LIFE, then He had but LIFE-SPIRIT to impart into the body of flesh known as Adam. That SPIRIT did not become alive for it WAS LIFE; and that begotten spirit or portion of God-LIFE animated the physical body of Adam AND generated within him "a living SOUL."
The SPIRIT within Adam was a deathless as God Himself! IT had never been "created." But to the created and fashioned compositon known as Adam, God spoke saying: "In the day thou eatest therof THOU SHALT SURELY DIE."
In the day of his disobedience, Adam became spiritually defiled and therefore separated from intimate communion with God. Yet, Adam did not physically die until ... 930 years later. Now, THAT is interesting because we are told in Psalm 90:4 that A THOUSAND YEARS are but as ONE DAY with God. A rational parent would say what he means ... in a way which would be understood by his child. Adam, as the child of God, would be familiar with the language which God used to communicate to him. Adam would understand that, were he to eat of the forbidden tree, HIS BODY would die. And, true enough, Adam's physical body died within one "day" with God, as he died in 930 years after his disobedience. And since his "soul" (as distinct from spirit) was a part of the created Adam, that too came under the selfsame sentence unto death.
Much later as the descendants of Adam had become more concious of their "souls", God enlared on His declaration unto Adam: "THE SOUL that sins, it shall die," - Ezekiel 18:4, 20.
As we carefully study the substance of the chapter we find that God decreed LIFE unto those who would abide in righteousness, yet "the SOUL that sins it shall die." Yet none of the righteous ever LIVED indefinitely in the physical body. Wherefore we are forced to conclude that God meant precisely what He said that the "SOUL" of the sinner would DIE, but that the SOUL of the righteous would LIVE.
Precisely the same Truth had God revealed through Moses, and for which objective the entire system of elaborate sacrificial rites was established. In Leviticus 17:11 we read:
"For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement FOR YOUR SOULS; for it is the blood that makes an atonement for the soul."
That this was the common Jewish concept in the days of the Lord Jesus is clearly perceived from the conversation He had with the lawyer. Said the lawyer: "What shall I do to inherit eternal life?" And the Lord answered: "What is written in the Law? HOW readest thou?" ---- Thereby clearly implying that LIFE beyond the present world was something to be had or entered into though a cerain WAY OF LIFE; and that the selfsame way of life was clearly taught in the Mosaic Law. (See Luke 10:25-26.) In verses 27-28 the thought is further strengthened and affirmed to be a positive Truth and reality by the Lord Jesus.
To betyter understand the inter-relationship between spirit, soul and body, let us consider spirit in its basically analogous element of FIRE. ("God is a consuming FIRE.") Fire is heat and light ("God is LIFE and LIGHT"). Yet a latent fire, or an uncontrolled fire is worthless (to man); it must be harnessed: it must be given an "engine" or a VEHICLE for expression. Harnessed in a directed throu such an "engine," fire may give off heat, light, energy, turning the vast wheels of industry.
Similarly with the beotten, naked spirit-FLAMES: children of the Spirit-Father: they need "engines", or VEHICLES through which to express their dormant potentials of the God-LIFE. To facilitate this, GOD WROUGHT HIS MASTERPIECE: the human body. Here was an "engine" so marvelously fashioned that it could be used by the indwelling spirit in ten thousand ways and more! Yet it enshrined one weakness: the susceptibility to disobedience unto the Divine Parent. Thus when the Law unto Life became broken through disobedience, the life-symphony of the body was also broken, leading to its speedy "death." Thus would the spirit again be precipitated back into its original NAKED estate unless it could be provided with a doby surviving the physical death.
This God achieved, and we are told about in in Gen. 2:7, where the God-spirit exuded into Adam, GENERATING in him " a living SOUL."

"Eternal Hell" and "Eternal Reign of Christ"
May I present to you an excerpt of the book "Heaven and Hell" by Markel Moen:
One point which is presented by supporters of a doctrine of "eternal hell" is as follows. Since the "eternal" nature of hell is couched in the same language as is the Christian's "eternal reign" with Christ, then it follows - say they - that since our life with Christ is to be "eternal", so similarly must we understand the "eternal" nature of suffering in "hell." This may sound plausible and be accepted when speaking to heads as empty as their own, yet the "argument" does not stand up to scrutiny in the light of Scripture analysis. And its disposition is simple:
Saint Paul (generally recognized by all Christians as an authority by virtue of inspiration), writing about this very "reign with Christ, said: "Then cometh THE END, when He shall have delivered up the Kingdom to God, even the Father; when He shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign TILL He hath put all enemies under His feet." --- 1 Cor. 15:24-25.
There you have it in language simple enough for any child to understand, that THE "REIGN" BY CHRIST is to be of LIMITED duration, COMING TO A TERMINATION at some future date when He shall have put down all rule, having "overcome the last enemy - which is death.
Wherefore, since in the plainest of language and indisputable terms we are told that Christ's "reign" is to be of LIMITED duration, then we are forced to admit that the selfsame "eternal" (eonian or age-lasting) extent of suffering in hell, is similarly LIMITED.

Definition of "Remedialism" - a Christian theological point of view
This brand of Christianity which I have called "Remedialism" is a view that our Father begot us as children of Him destined to become like Him ... and that He has guaranteed that all His children will arrive at unity with Him.
In this current era, the main thing all human beings need to learn is to receive Jesus as personal Savior of your soul. The word of Jesus, the blood of Jesus, and the spirit of Jesus will wash anyone who comes to Him and will keep that person from having to suffer the loss of his soul after the dying of his body.
Secondly, after believing into Jesus enough to have one's soul saved from going to "hell", we each need to walk with the Lord and be overcomers, built with other believers in Christ, until we come to maturity.

If These Things are True, Why Does the Bible Not Say So Plainly?
The Bible does not say very much plainly about anything except historical facts. Most doctrinal truth is hidden as treasure for the zealous student to dig and discover.
I can quote a couple of passages on this:
It is the glory of Elohim [God] to conceal a matter;
it is the glory of kings to investigate a matter.
[Proverbs 25: 2, Concordant Literal Version (CLV) ]
And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:
That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.
[Mark 4:11, 12. (King James Version) ]
And Psalm 1 says:
1Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
[Psalm 1:1-5. (KJV) ]
In the three above-quoted Scriptures, we can see that God uses encryption ... in the form of parable in order to hide truth from the wicked and to bless those who dilligently seek Him.
The truths about the purpose of suffering, death, and the prison known as the grave or "hell", have been mysteries to all but the few who dilligently seek to know the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
I hope that helps satisfy some reader's hunger for a beginning at studying these matters.

General Stuff
This post is informal. It may contain ideas I could refine later.
This blog has been at a standstill... because I have not been aware of what I could say patiently with plenty of Scriptural backing... which would be received by someone out there in internet land. Here I hope to begin to reach a bit of forward momentum. There is someone somewhere who can benefit from some of this stuff.
I am aware that, for 99.99% of the potential audience out there, nothing I say is going to be well-received. Little I say will be understood. Yet, I must try to reach someone who is hungry for the Biblical truths of Remedialism.
Some high priority concepts:
The Remedialist doctrine has some first principles without which the whole message is misunderstood.
Jesus is equal to God. This is important in our Remedialist doctrine. True, the Father is greater than the Son. But Jesus is God. He is my God... and I hope He is - or will become - yours.
God offers proof of the truth. The Holy Scriptures which we have at hand are rich material for research which can help us find faith and truth. The individual can ask for proof from God. God will provide a measure of proof...just as He did for Thomas.
God is a Father of spirits; we (humans) are incarnate children of the Father. Technically, Jesus is our father. "The" Father is our grandfather. That is my conviction... but, if I am ever proven mistaken on that point, this would not collapse my whole worldview or theology. The main point is that each human is a spirit clothed in a body.
Man is tripartite: spirit, soul, and body. Knowledge of this concept is not required for "salvation" but is required if one is to understand more than a little bit about human life and the Bible.
Salvation from hell is just one part of what Jesus does for a believer. The reason for our existence is for us to learn and grow - as do children - into the likeness and image of our Father. Our father is God. We are growing to be like Him (though never going to catch up with Him). Jesus saves us from the pit of "hell" through faith in Him. Yet perfection is a long road ahead. The path to maturity is the Path which is Jesus. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. We who believe have only begun to follow that path.
Hell is really the pits and we want people to avoid that. The Bible is evangelistic. The New Testament has much to say about calling people to be rescued from going to hell. Even though Remedialist doctrine, Bible-based, firmly shows that hell is not forever, yet hell is a prison and a pain we would like everyone to avoid. The way to avoid a term in the pit is to believe in Jesus as your personal saviour. He suffered on the cross for you. His blood washes you from whatever sins you confess to Him. Because your sins are washed away you are guaranteed that you will go to Paradise rather than the pit if you die.
We recommend the website http://hopebeyondhell.net/unity.php and the book, Hope Beyond Hell. The gist of it agrees with our Remedialist doctrine as it addresses the issues of God's love, and the limited duration of hell.

Looking for a Reason to Believe in a Loving Father, a Loving Jesus, and a Loving Holy Spirit?
Our Father is waiting for His lost children to turn toward home.
The churches have told people that there is an eternal place of torment created by the Father for anyone who fails to believe in Jesus before he dies.
The churches, on this point, have been wrong.
Our Father is in the business of TRAINING HIS CHILDREN.
As we all know, training is accomplished through rewards and punishments. Yet, the traditional teaching of the churches has been that TOTAL reward of TOTAL good is for those who merely believe in Jesus, while TOTAL torment for TOTAL of the future is for those who fail to believe in Jesus before they die.

The purpose of this blog is to begin to introduce people to a God who will be training His children for thousands and thousands of years. There is, a reward of Paradise and heaven for believers. Yet these rewards are only one or two steps on the path forward. There will be much training ahead for those in Paradise and Heaven.
God has the pit as a punishment ... for the sake of remedial punishment and for the sake of removing the old dirty garment in order to prepare His child to start a day in school again.

The churches have told people that there is an eternal place of torment created by the Father for anyone who fails to believe in Jesus before he dies.
The churches, on this point, have been wrong.
Our Father is in the business of TRAINING HIS CHILDREN.
As we all know, training is accomplished through rewards and punishments. Yet, the traditional teaching of the churches has been that TOTAL reward of TOTAL good is for those who merely believe in Jesus, while TOTAL torment for TOTAL of the future is for those who fail to believe in Jesus before they die.
